LG VX-8000

Which is better all around and for picture quality?

OK. Here's the deal. I'm in the market for a new cell phone from Verizon. I qualify for the New Every 2 program and I can get a new cell phone as of March 31, 2005. I currently have a Motorola T730 and had a Samsung SCH-a530 both with Verizon. I have been doing research on some phones and have narrowed my selection down to 3 phones. I am now contemplating on the Samsung SCH-a890, the LG VX7000, and the LG VX8000. I don't know what the best is. The only reason I am looking at the VX7000 is in case the a890 and VX8000 aren't good. Mostly I am curious about the a890 and VX8000. From anyone's perspective or knowledge, can you please tell me how everything is. How are the User Interfaces, custumization abilities, camera qualities. Anything at all...

Long time reader first time poster 🙂 I work at an Authorized Agent for the western 1/2 of the country. If you look at the new America's Choice Brochures. On page 3 the pix w/ the dude & the 3 chicks, he has the 8000! 😁 I was excited about that I've been waiting for this phone for SO LONG! Just like the rest of you. Ok that's all I'm just a phone geek & notice these things 🙄

ive decided to go with the lg vx8000 in april wen my contract is up 😁 . can you all please tell me different things bout the phone like how to transfer mp3s and pictures to it. and how many ringtones can u make urselfand anything in depth about the vx8000 besides just the specs and features. im talkin like custimization and user interface and the menus and anything at all

I'm curious will this phone be available for Us Cellualr(USCC).

To the people who have the vx8000 already or who have played with it, does the vx8000 have the feature where u can record a sound and use it as a ringtone like the vx7000? thanks

What do you people prefer and why? This phone or the Samsung A890??? Also, anyone know when the Samsung will be released?!

The 6000 and 6100 (and my 710!) all have the Send Later feature under options when sending text messages. I couldn't find it anywhere on the 7000. Those that have the 8000, can you tell me if it has this feature?

is the new lg vx8000 a tri-mode or all-digital phone? tri-mode has over-all better service in the US, no? also, i'm a t-mobile customer soon to be verizon...are there any other good phones from verizon worth looking at in addition to this one? thanks.

Can anyone who has the 8000 tell me if it has the call alert (disco) lights? If so, do you have the ability to turn them off?

I love the 7000, but these lights are totally unacceptable in a professional work environment. I couldn't turn them off even if the phone is set to silent for meetings.

People keep saying the phone will be $269.99 full retail, but thats not the case my girl a the vzw store inside the circuit im sales manager at said thats just the price for a one-year contract. Its more full retail, Shes the manager and told me they would never put out a phone that great, for that cheap at full retail.

😢 I just did my 2 up through VW and the phone(s) they sent were the lg 7000 and the motorola v710 - Neither were able to access some websites - error of "insufficient memory" when attempting such sites as EBAY.

Their tech department stated this phone would be the savior. Is this issue of lack of memory be resolved do to the speed of this phone?? The other option is a PDA such as the treo oraudiovox 6600 - not on market yet.

Please respond with answers. I have no access to the sites I need at this point and would like the next phone received from their corporate office a phone that works with the www applications I need to access.

Ive never posted on this board before, & i cant wait for the phone to come out...currently I have a crappy T720, & yes its falling apart!, LOL so im excited about this phone...BUT my question is can this phone have vocal ringtones like the nextel...ya know the actual song with the people singing? & will it be downloadable viz Get It Now or will you have to download it via a USB cable? On the info for the VX-8000,(on phone scoop), it says the phone will have 128MB of memory. But most of you and other sites have said it will have 64MB of memory. So which one is it?

Can you open the phone while it is in the holster?
Also does it have the swivel/lock holster like the 6100.
