I don't know about you guys but, I am going to miss this post once I get the phone.

Does this phone have call forwarding?

Can someone who already has the phone please answer these questions?

Can the USB data cable be used to:

1) Transfer pictures off the phone?
2) Transfer videos off the phone?
3) Transfer mp3s on/off the phone?
4) Transfer contacts/etc.. on/off the phone?
5) Create IS95/1xRTT/1xEVDO data calls from a laptop/PDA?

I have about 15 hours left to try my 6100 out befeore my 15 day trial period is up.
Would you hand it back and wait for the 8000 or keep the 6100. Does the 8000 have a better speaker? I have a back up phone to use.

As with the vx-6000, you were able to mute the shutter sound while taking a picture. Is the option still available on the vx-8000?

Can anyone compare these to phones for me, I held the samsung in my hand a few weeks back at a meeting and thought it was extremely cool. The menu is in 3d so when you hit the up key it swivels through menu options like you were playing doom on the computer or something. The phone seemed smaller than my 7000 so that is a plus. Any thoughts on this one?

Just purchased a new verizon cell phone. I have 15 days to get their insurace plan or none. Is their a company that offfers the same or better protection for less. If so, please give me the name and number.

Is teh new ev-do only for data or will it improve clarity/quality of a call as well as increase signal strength inside buidlings and stuff?

Ok anyone else see this posted? They want at least $500.00 for it, and will not ship it untill the end of the trial period.
Is this someone just trying to make some money or do they really not like the phone.

If someone buys the LG VX-8000 do they have to pay 15 dollars a month plus their phone plan or can they just get the 8000, just pay their same phone plan, and not have the EVDO network available to them?(like the news, MTV, and stuff like that, that costs more money)....

According to this press release from the LG website, the VX8000 should be available this month.

I am one of the current testers of the VX8000 on the Verizon network, and I must say, the phone has worked like a champ. Reception has been great, picture quality is very good, wireless web 2.0 is very fast.

The Mobile Media is very cool too, and impresses all my friends - but I probably should not be watching it while I am driving!

However, I will probably be selling it after the trial period is over. While it is indeed "way cool", it's just a bit too large for me. I guess I am rather particular.

Look for it on eBay after the trial is over!

Just got an lg 6100 and it seems like a nice phone. However the lg8000 looks very interesting. Does any body know the true release date, does it have a speaker phone and will it have tri mode? What will the price be with activation?

I'm in a little bind. I know that the VX-8000 is in the field for 500 Verizon customers. I've been waiting for the VX-8000 but I don't think my existing phone is going to make it. Is there anyone out there that has used both phones and if there is can you give me an honest comparison between the two because my next choice in phones would be the Motorola V710? I need all of the features that both phones have except Bluetooth. Speakerphone, voice dialing, camera, good large phone book, mp3's etc. Please help me with my decision if possible. ☹️

Take it for what it's worth but a search on Infomanager shows a release of January 17th for the VX8000. I tend to believe March that way if it comes out early back i'll be happy either way. LG's haven't been known for delays in releases that usually falls towards Samsung's and Motorola's. Like I said take it for what it's worth because i'm sure i'll get hammered for posting it but that is what a search on InfoManager shows.
