LG enV VX-9900

I have gone into the message settings and set the default entry mode to word. yet, every time I open a new message with the flip open it is in abc mode. I want the phone to autocomplete words for me and I can't figure out how to do that.

I just replace my LG9800 with a 9900. There was a problem with the 9800 that bothered me. I use my phone frequently to check AOL e-mail. On the AOL sign on screen there's a box to check for storing your screen name and password so you don't have to enter them every time. Even though the box was checked, the phone did not store this information. You always had to enter it. I figured this would be fixed on the 9900. After all, how could they have such a glitch on two models in a row? Guess what---the same problem occurs. In addition, when you try to read an e-mail on the 9900 you frequently get a message saying "must be connected to oss port" (or something like that). If you refresh the screen, it works. does the brand matter? i might be getting one today and i wanted to know if sandisk is better then kingston or vise versa. thanks for the help

I was told by my Verizon Rep that the music kit for the chocolate works with the EnV. However, when I try to connect via USB and sync through WMP 11 my device is not recognized. Is this because I have the wrong kit or is there some other problem? Thanks!

I am sure this has been discussed over and over again, but I have a mac (with itunes) and I am debating on buying this phone. How can I transfer music from my computer to my phone? Do I have to buy a memory card or a music kit?

AND.. is this phone really that good - would you recommend it over the 8600 or any other of the new phones coming out???

i just got my new sandisk 1gb sd card today. so i drag and drop mp3s from limewire into the my_music folder. i put the card back into my phone and when i go to my music, the screen says adding songs to library and then it freezes. Then i have to take the battery out and turn the phone back on again. i dont use the music pack from verizon i just use a card reader so am i doing something wrong or is there just something wrong with my phone? am i missing a step? thanks in advance.

about 3 weeks into having the phone i could not delete my text....i had to change the option to automatically delete my text so i could recieve...then after about a week of the problem it went away....

Also my flash just turns the pictures green...you can tell its from the flash just brighting the lens...i went to verizon and the rep there was having the same problem...

I need help,i got the bluetooth dongle and paired it with phone and pc, but icant do anything with it nothing happens, i even tried paring with printer but that didn't even connect. The BitPim program didn't do anything either. Someone must know the formula for making this work, please help if you can spell it out to me. What i want to do is send pics at the 2 megapixel reso to pc or the printer, that all. Can it be done?? Thanks Bob

This is my second enV phone, in one week.The first enV,the speaker phone echoed, and the the battery was down to one bar in a day. Now my second enV phone, the blue tooth echoes, and the battery is worse. I made three short phone calls, and the phone went down to 1 barimmediately.I love the phone, but I feel, I am being forced into buying an extended battery. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM???????

If I need a new phone and I am not into texting would the 9900 be a phone that you all would recommend? I basically need a phone for call clarity, reception, durability and bluetooth. Sounds a great phone but wonder if it is the right for phone for me considering I do very minimal texting. Thanks for you help!

i just got my new laptop today and i was just wondering if anybody has used their 9900 as a modem yet. if anybody has any info on how to do this and on how not to get caught by verizon would be helpful. thanks in advance.

Just got a couple quick questions for the pro's out there...

1. I have a card reader..and i put wma's/mp3's on the card in the my_music folder(formatted card first)...and not all the songs show...101 out of 143 show...anybody know why some dont show?? any input would be most appreciated. I did buy the mek and they work that way..but i'd like to return the kit if i could..

2. anyone have problems with the volume on this phone when a headset is plugged in? I listen to music with the mek headphones and on the lowest volume its loud enough to make me deaf...any ideas?

about taking my enV back and exchange it because when its on a all black screen the top and left (main screen) are gray, i get a "new get it now message" screen every once in a while, and my battery doesnt hold a charge. if i take it back is it possible to switch over my ringtones, pictures, etc? or will i have to do all those over again?

Any one looking to trade a 9900 for an 8600. Works fine no damage. Just ready for a new phone. I miss the QWERTY keyboard my Old XV6700 had.

Right now I am trying to decide between a few phones. I originally thought about buying the treo because it woudl enable me to get rid of my palm pilot. I never thought of the enV until now. I know the enV is a smart phone, but can I sync with my mac (or palm program) and load my contacts, tasks, notes and calendar on it? If I dont get a smart phone, I am also considering the LG 860O, Motorola Slvr or Krzr.

you cant put a custome txt sound for your budies in your contact list.. on my 9800 i had custome txt sounds for all of my friends. i txt all the time, im not going to be able to distinguish my friends txt anymore..

This phone looks really cool and Ive been hearing great feedback on it. And I just wanted to know if it had AIM on it. Or any other chat programs like YAHOO, or MSN. Does anyone know?
