I'm on the fence still about upgrading...please help with the following questions if you have first-hand experience with them:

1. Front-keypad design...is it still as easy to hit multiple-keys by mistake as it was on the 9800 near the SEND/CLR buttons?

2. Does using bluetooth headsets drain power faster on the 9900 than on the 9800?

3. Some users say they prefer the MP3 features on the 9800...what exactly is different or missing?

4. Can the 9900 be used like the 9800 to connect a regular PC to the internet using either USB cable or the bluetooth? Another great feature on the 9800...

5. How much better is the signal/reception on the 9900? Is it better?

6. The Ring Tones are louder on the 9900 than the 9800? Is it about 50...

when using the front numeric display to txt message, it seems to default to abc mode everytime instead of word mode. anyway around this? its very annoying to have to hit 2 extra buttons each time to get it into the right mode.

I bought the Extended Battery when I bought my phone. I am not impressed with the Life of the battery. I am at half strength and below are my usage details.

2 days since Charge
25 Minutes worth of calls
1 hour of AIM
2 Hours of Music
3 Pictures taken.

To me, this does not seem like enough to bring an Extended Battery down to half strength.

Is there a way to use the camera flash when taking a picture with the flip closed? It seems that the flash doesn't go off when I use the camera on the front. Is there an "always on" default for the front? What am I doing wrong? Thanks to anyone with advice (or even a smirk!) alienhiker

On the 8100 and the 9800, under SECURITY, you could edit the Emergency Numbers. Can you do this on the 9900? If so, where?

Like when texting in a dark area, will the keys of the qwerty keyboard, and the outside keys for that matter, light up?

Has anyone been successful in getting album art to display on their enV?

I have added the album art images to the ID3 tags using iTunes and Windows Media Player. Both were successful in embedding the file, but the image phone doesn't support the image.

I used the same method for the moto krzr and had no issues.

Does anyone know if the vx9900 does or doesn't support album art? If it does work, is there something special I need to do to get it to work?

Very happy to find this site! I just got my enV and was having a hard time figuring out things from the instructions that came with it. I called Verizon and they told me how to use voice recognition to dial, but said it had to be used with the clam OPEN. I thought this was stupid and told them so.
Anyway, I just read here how to use voice dialing with the phone closed. Super! But how did you know this?

Is there a better instructions out there that goes through these things a little more thoroughly? I hate to call Verizon since they apparently don't know all the features themselves.... but don't want to search or post every little question I may have.

Is there any way to rotate a picture taken with the LG EnV? Im taking pictures of my friends for Picture ID and Contacts and they all come out sideways.

does anyone else think this mp3 player is completly retarded, the search options never work, and after a song is finished playing, the main menu has the text from the search still in it and you have to erase it, also when i search for a song sometimes it just gives me an entire different list of songs, and sometimes when it gives me the right song THERE IS NO OPTION TO PLAY IT, how stupid is that, then ill hit the clear key and itll just kick me out of the mp3 player entirly,,,very frustrating, but the phone is still awesome

I ordered the phone earlier yesterday morning. Hope to have it tonight. Charge the battery and get playing.

Is there a way to increase the volume on this feature? It doesn't seem that loud. Do other volume settings effect this feature?

i am getting a new phone in the next few days a lot of reports go both ways just that the enV has some more options better pic quality and a few other things. but, we all know that when we sign up for theses contracts theses phones turn out bad in a month or two. which do you guys believe is the better buy?

I recently purchase my 1G micro sd card and am trying to figure out how to add music. How do I add music from CD's? I have read about clicking and dragging, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated

i bought the motorola bluetooth receiver that plays all the mp3 wirelessly thru stereo bluetooth for a 100 bucks from radioshack and not only did it not work, it shut the phone off i called lg and motorola and they bolth said if the phone is stereo blutooth capable it should work fine but it dosent anyone else have this problem, or have it work on the 9900

Hey I just got my enV yesterday.. pretty hyped up about it since my last phone was a Motorola v265... I work with electronics, but I never really got a new phone... So I decided to get a enV.... The phone would automatically go into standby mode after a few seconds... Now it does not do it anymore... Anyone know how I can change it back... THanks for all the help!

I am eligible to upgrade as of 02/23/07. I will be at the one year point of my two year contract. I know that it is impossible to project what the cost would be at that date, but does anyone know what the cost of this phone would be if I were eligible to upgrade now?

I bought the enV in December and not too long after getting it I had to get it replaced due to the fact that the battery was not holding a charge. I would charge it all night and the next day it would be dead after only a few hours, even if it wasn't being used that much. Right now I'm using the phone that it was replaced with and it's doing the same thing. I was just wondering if anyone else had this same problem.

Another thing, anyone else have problems with their cameras? Many times when I'm taking a picture, it will have colors bars at the bottom of the pictures and it will have color streaks on it as well.

Just wanted to know if anyone else was having either of these problems.
