Ok I have had a personal Verizon phone for years but now my employer just gave me a Blackberry 8830 with voice plan on Sprint.

I know Verizon has pulled the rug on free calling on Holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Has Sprint done that yet or are they still offering free calling on Thanksgiving etc?

I keep receiving gibberish texts from the short code 9114. no I did not sign up for anything, the only thing I use my number for online is sprint.com. besides the messages are gibberish.

I spoke with CS the first night. I was told they blocked short codes from texting me.

last night was night #2 and I received 4 more from approx 830pm-1230am.

called this morning and they see them, even the short code number that responds when I text bacl "cancel" or "stop"

so I have a ticket in. I don't want to block texting. my boyfriend and I rack up over 5000 a month. I just want to not be woken up by it and to make sure I am not being charged for them.

any ideas? I see customers with similar issues but their's were at least their...

I am on cingular currently and have found a great deal, (thanks to a friend for referring me) thus the referral program. I am excited and can't wait to switch. What do I do tho is the question? Do I cancel with Cingular, but I want to keep my number of course, lol.

i want to get the Blackberry pearl, as it sounds like it will have some cool features...GPS???? I figured I'd wait to switch until that come out, however, will I not be able to use any of the things on the phone with the SERO plan? Thus, my friend has a Palm and is on the sero plan, everything works fine. would i be limited...such as the internet not working at all, on a blackberry with the sero plan?

The first pictures of Sprint QChat compatible devices have surfaced along with a couple scanned pages of an accompanying document detailing the Nextel Direct Connect brand going forward.

The handsets are unique in that the DC button is internally lit, calling attention to the function intended as a method to promote the feature along with other proposed methods such as branding the back plates with the Nextel DirectConnect brand and an oversized arrow pointing to the button along with an icon on the homescreen.

The prototypes pictured have been confirmed to be Sanyo models and are currently in the late testing phase, keeping in line with prior projections for a first quarter launch.

I use to have sprint and I know that I could never recieve calls while I was on the web. I am wondering with the treo phones or sanyo phones can you recieve calls while on the web? Thanks

so thiz program works perfect with the ringtones and large full screen callerid but when it comes to Sms it only rings sometimes sporadically its not consistent first Sms rings then thats ,it anyone else using this program and having this problem?

How does sprint and verizon get a phone. why does one carrier get a certain phone and another does not get it for years or if at all. do they have to bid on the phone like ebay? or does the manufacturer just decide we will put it on verizon instead of sprint and vice versa?

anyone else notice that this phone has over the air programing? i found this out while doing an upgrade and while i was transferring the phonebook from one to the other her voicemail went off on the old and new phone and when she checked it, it told her congratulations and that her new phone was programmed and ready to use.
this is a cool feature, what do you think are the possibilities with this? think it has something to do with maybe reprogramming the phone over the air if it was brought from another carrier? if not what else is this good for?

tried sending my friend a couple ringtomes earlier using both phones bluetooth. after she allows my phone to send her them her phone says sending failed.

From Menu > Messaging > IM > MSN launches the web.
Links: "MSN Messenger." It loads the Windows Live Sign in screen, but then it freezes if I click anything on that menu screen and reboots the phone.
Any ideas?

I had Sprint for 5.5 years. I left in Feb of this year to AT&T. I love AT&T, I get signal everywhere!!! However, the prices is beginning to burn my pockets 🙂 My monthly bill is on average $175.00. I was looking at the SERO plans and I can get everything I have now for like $70.00 bucks a month!!!!! I love Sanyo phones, I only had Sanyo phones when I was with Sprint before. I am looking at the Katana DLX...need to bluetooth so I can connect my handheld to the internet.... My question is I am wondering if the coverage in my area has gotten better? My zip is 28301 (NC).... Any help would be appreciative 🙂
