Price for 'premium' text messages? $10,000

From:
http://redtape.msnbc.com/2007/10/sean-clark-pays.html »

Sean Clark pays extra each month for his cell phone service so his daughter Amanda can enjoy unlimited, no-charge text messaging. So the Bothell, Wash. man was stunned when his Sprint bill for September showed with nearly $10,000 in text message charges.

"When I opened the bill, it was just pure shock," he said. "There were pages and pages and pages of things on there."

He called Sprint immediately looking for an explanation. Clark knew ringtones and Web-based downloads could get expensive, so he had turned off Web access from Amanda's phone. He also knew that Amanda, a developmentally disabled 18-year-old, liked to send text messages so he "protected himself" by signing...

"I'm going to Verizon"...

she says as she walks out the door.

when i tell my manager he will breathe a sigh of relief, and when i tell the other local stores she has dealt with they will join us in celebrating.

in the process of selling to her (an existing customer with questions about EVDO and such) my manager asked where she would be using it, since we have limited coverage in our area he did not want to sell her something that she wanted to use at home if she wouldn't be covered by the hi-speed.

i don't know the full conversation as i had my own customer at the time. but i do know she left cussing and swearing taking my manager's card and saying he will be fired.

not long after (2 weeks if that) she returns and speaks with out assistant manager. the ...

It's Here!

We got the touch today in our store. It looks nice!! One of our employees has actually already ordered the phone. The only bad thing that is coming out of it is that we've only got 1 to sell!! =0(

One more try.

Hello. I'm going back to Sprint one more time; not because I want to [although $15 for data sounds quite nice], but because at&t sucks, and T-Mobile doesn't work in my house. I love Windows Mobile phones, thus my name. Should I get the 700wx or the Mogul? I can get a WX for way cheap, but I'm in love with the Mogul. What do you guys suggest?

Where's the love?

As of two months ago, I swear everyone on this forum was planning to get the Sprint Touch. You all were hyping it to be one of the biggest phones of the year. But now when it has finally been released, nothing. Whats the deal? Is the Touch not as amazing as it was touted to be? Is anyone planning to still grab one? Where is the buzz????

1012 error quest

So here's my story. After being tossed around verizon for the last 1 and a half I decide to switch to sprint. Go right? So far no. I signed up on he 30th online and ported my number over. I recieved the phone on november 1st. First off the phone came with no instructions on how to activate. After activating the phone I contually got error code 67 followed by either 1012 or 2038. I was on the phone for almost 2 hours this morning, hung up on twice, for them to tell me to take it to a sprint store. I took it to sprint and they had it for 5 hours when I picked it up they said it was working now. Well it is still giving me error 1012 over and over, the rep said it would take 4 hours and it "should" work and if not bring it back it.

A new low

Sero customer emails in says they get a special offer to renew their contract for a $115 credit. (Which is odd since average offers $50, $70, and $100) Check contract status, customer started service 10/19/2007.

Not even 30 days yet and asking for free service a true sprint customer right there always wanting free service and don't give a **** about the company.

I KNEW it...! Some Employees abusing Advantage accounts. And the consequence is...

...Consumer pricing on Advantage accounts! Those $15 plans only Employee family or friends can get? yeeeeep...just like what happened with the SERO. Sorry guys but no more flat rate pricing. I knew this would happen, heres a link a while back of me explaining it.

https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/forum.php?fm=m&f ... »

It sucks...take for example if a Sprint Employee wanted to get the Centro on an Advantge account, its not at the flat rate price of $99.99. After you've had a phone on a line of service for 11 months you get $75 off the retail, after $22 months the $150 off plus any attached Mail In Rebates. I dunno if some of you Employees have already gotten the E-mail... 😛

I am going to get fired...

...for insubordination, because i refuse to do telemarketing for the company (aka salesforce.com)

Do any other reps have to do the salesforce.com phone calls?

Sanyo Phones

Anyone else think Sprint should get Sanyo to make Japanese style phones for them? I've seen Japanese Sanyo phones and they're look so good. I know the Katana was one, eventhough it came out in Japan around 2004, but they still need more.
