one of the greats days in sprint history...sprint will unlock phones!

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/10/26/sprint-next ... »

An under-the-radar class action lawsuit against Sprint Nextel is winding its way towards a settlement this week, and it contains a pretty huge concession by Sprint: the company will unlock phones for both current and former customers, and will begin training its customer service reps on how to connect non-Sprint phones to its network. The settlement was tentatively approved by a California judge on October 2, but hasn't had a final approval hearing yet, according to Sprint -- but it's still a huge win for US consumers, who haven't been able to buy mainstream unlocked phones from any of the major carriers. Of course, since Sprint's network is CDMA, unl...

Account Question

I was given an invoice credit by a customer service rep recently. Is there some way that I can check to see if it was actually put onto my account? I can't seem to find any sort of record of it on the sprint website. Thanks!

edvo rev a speed

I just installed the merlin s720 updated to rev a firmware. Speed test 500-900 average download, 128 upload. Reading specs uploads should be 300-400. downloads 400-800.

Why is the upload alot slower than the specs state, but the download is faster? I need at least 256 upload. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Dang you Sprint with your no having extended battery...

🤣 ...I guess I will just have to settle with a phone I don't want just so I can have an extended battery. I think Sanyo is the only phone that has an extended battery. Thanks alot Sprint. 🙄

I was just told by representatives in a Sprint store that although the Touch is being released Nov 4th, it wont actually be in stores for another month after that. He is full of it, right?

755p vs. Centro.

I feel I made the right choice, but what, other than memory card size and phone size, is the real difference between the 755p and the Centro?

So data speeds VRS phone speeds !!

I have used a variety of phones with my life at Sprint, (which is my first heavy data network i have used)

There is something I have noticed, currently in areas with EVDO and higher, Data will actually pull faster then the cellphone will beable to load,
I currently have a mogul, and with my mogul i have a program that is a data reader, its kinda like a constant benchmark for my internet connection,
What I have come across is that the network can send/recieve data when I am on the net, WAY faster then my phone can actually process,

Although this is technically true even for home computers, it seems cellphones are making zero to no effort to even make higher data speeds worth actually going to

For instance sprint is going to WIMAX,...

i gotta ask

ok so new phones, xohm and qchat are all around the corner...

question is

how the heck is xohm going to help us other than provide for faster mobile internet speeds?

is qchat on broadband service or voice?

faster data is cool but will it improve voice coverage?

if not then we should be talking more about airave as an exciting development. are xohm and airave going to be able to work together? i've posted a lot here but i'm just asking for clarification

New handsets...not PDAs?

Right now its seems that Sprints focus as far as handsets go are PDAs. How about MORE EVDO/Bluetooth/Stylish handsets for the people that don't want a smartphone/PDA...can you do that Sprint? Huh? Can you? 😉
I was comparing Verizons handsets with Sprint and I have to say Verizon has some really nice phones...you can't deny that. I prefer Sprints network over Verizon though. 🙂

I bought this, while waiting for my 700wx to show up whenever it shows up. It's a nice phone.
