unlocking sprint phones

well the time has come for customers to get what they want once again. now we will be able to activate NON sprint phones on our network. (verizon, alltell) not sure when we will start doing this but now you guys can bring your phones over. i wonder how that will work considering that verizon has different software on their phones 😕 will it just be a phone to use voice? cause i wouldnt think v-cast and stuff like that would work.

Need help with a Blackberry question..!!!

Hey guys thanks for taking the time to read this, well my question is which out of all Blackberries we have on Sprint work off of that new 2.4 server? I hear it used to run off of the old 1.8 server. If anyone knows, also which BB's that run off of the 1.8 are upgradeable to the 2.4 server? I REALLY need help with this guys! Thanks very much 😉

Can someone in the know explain....

This Alltel buyout approval thing that is in the News Page on phone scoop? I thought Goldman Sachs bought them, how is the FCC approving a sale to the two other companies that were considering the buy now? Am I completely lost? (I cannot open the link to full article do to browsing restrictions here)

Does this mean there is a chance that Alltel is finally going away? and soon?

I hope soon! 😈

Thank you Sprint!

I am really glad the Sprint made the move to unlock their phones.

I am just wondering how come a lawsuit haven't file against Verizon? or it has? Verizon lock more than just their phones. Verizon locked so much that I left them.

Any opinions?

ORB

Hey All,
I was told by my fellow "Phonescoopers" that ORB is a great app to download for free TV and other multimedia access. Now, with verizon you can have your contract terminated for streaming anything outside of their provided applications. Is this the case with Sprint? Does anyone know if there is a special clause disallowing the streaming of any sort of web content. Thanks, I am going to read the contract now but thought this may be a inquiry from those of you who may be using ORB already on Sprint

unlocked sprint phones.

Let's see. All I am, reading is that you can now take your sprint phone to verizon and/or alltell. My question is, just because you have the info to program the phone for the other network, who SAYS THE OTHER NETWORK WILL ALLOW IT? The outcome of the lawsuit was to allow sprint customers to take there phones and use on other networks, I haven't read anything stating that verizon/alltell had to accept the phones.

Hello Sprint

I am planning to port my number from T-mobile to Sprint in the very near future(next week). While I have been a 4 year, very satisfied customer with T-mobile, for some reason I know longer get service with them at where work. Something about the FCC made them turn off a tower. The biggest transition for me will be the phones. I'm used to having 2-3 different phones that I can use, just be switching the SIM card out and into another. With sprint I won't have this luxury, which is why I'm willing to spend whatever it takes to get a nice phone that will work well for me.
Does anyone have any advice on what would be the best Smartphone Sprint offers? I have reviewed the Palm Centro, HTC Mogul, Moto Q, and have seen previews of the HT...

sprint reps

Here is my big gripe about sprint reps...Not all of them but a lot of you guys are just plain rude and always demanding things when something is wrong....Most of the time you guys are always blaming customer care when it is the actual store that has made the mistake and it gets played off like customer care did it....Its not all store reps just some. Have you ever thought of maybe being nice and not so rude. It would make everyones job a little easier
