m500 or a900m..please help me choose

Hello. I am about to leave cingular for sprint. at the local dealer, they gave me the option of getting either the m500 or the a900m for free. i am a student and don't have a lot of money to spend on a phone, so I really need to choose from one of these. i think i prefer the a900, but from the reviews i've read, i'm weary of the battery life. any advice will be helpful. i don't care for the multimedia options. i'm just looking for a good phone - good reception, call clarity, and a decent battery life. which phone do you think is a better choice? also, are the reps instructed to push certain phones b/c the rep i spoke to was only recommending i pick up the m500 and it seemed scripted. thanks in advance!

Pivot?

For those that work in the test markets for the Pivot service as a joint venture with the cable operators, what are your initial impressions of this service?

Are there any noteworthy advantages and what kind of response has their been from the consumers?

Snuggles Treo 755 Hands On

I had the displeasure of playing with one today at Sprint. What's all the hooplah about? I was unable to even set a wallpaper as a desktop screen.
The camera had no settings to change either.
The keyboard is rather crunched also making the keys small. Is this the best Smart Phone for SPrint? I wish they got the Blackberry Curve

Can I just say...

that Alltel has BY FAR the best commercials of any cellco.

i just saw the one where the cingular guy has two name tags on (one for ATT&T), and he wants to fight the alltel guy. everyone holds him back for about a second, then lets go, and he backs off cuz he's a little punk.

i also like that the sprint guy seems to be the stupidest one.

when are we gonna get a real marketing campaign?

funny is what makes people remember your name, not "POWER this and POWER that"

Change of services question.

if i have 2 accounts under my name. One being a single line plan and the other having 2 with shared minutes can i combine them to a plan where all 3 share the minutes? because people at sprint say its not possible but every other company allows it. I called in to cancel the 3rd and asked about combining but they'd rather charge me the 300 ETF's than combine my plan. any help would be appreciated.

Customer servies!!!!!

so every time i call CS im on hold for ever and after im on hold for like 35 or 40mis the call drops no matter what phone im on, and then when i do get someone they can speak English. if sprint would close down all there over seas CS they would be such a better Compy. for the most part i like my service and i really like my phone, its just when i need help from CS it turns into a all day thing, and the reps in stores were I'm at are very rude and not helpful at all. so what is a guy to do.

ex-Sprint COO Len Lauer knocks WiMAX

We thought Qualcomm might be finally embracing WiMAX, given its recent purchase of TeleCIS’ mobile WiMAX assets. Not so much. Len Lauer, Qualcomm’s Executive Vice President and Group president, gave WiMAX the smackdown at the Wireless Innovations conference on Wednesday.

Lauer said WiMAX is more expensive to deploy than cellular networks, while cellular can provide the equivalent bandwidth. He also pointed to poor early reviews of South Korea’s network as an example of why the technology isn’t all that “revolutionary.” Harsh, though not unexpected since Qualcomm’s whole reason for existence is CDMA and WCDMA.

Ironically, Lauer was the CTOO at Sprint around the time the company made its decision to deploy a WiMAX network. Was it a bone...

Phillips One Month Battery Cell - When will it come out>?

It's pretty clear that cellphone batteries are the most inefficient product known to mankind—leave the phone on standby, refuse to take any calls, and it's still drained by the end of the day. Use the phone for talking, and expect to have the battery die in the midst of a very important conversation. Now a partnership among Philips, Energizer and Techtium has produced a phone whose battery lasts a month on one charge. If you still can't give it a decent charge in that time frame, backup comes in the form of a single AAA battery, which gives you another week to find your charger. Xenium Price not set; available in the winter; philips.com
