Sprint needs to loose Nextel iden Concentrate on WiMax

Sprint needs to loose Nextel iden Concentrate on WiMax. WiMax is the only thing that can pull sprint out the hole. Sprint was known for innovative cellphones..now its known for its dataplans. SO why not concentrate on making that better and loose the dead weight. It was a dumb acquisition in the first place. And now it shows in the numbers. Everyone knew a hybrid network(Iden/CDMA wouldnt work..!

Even BoyGenius agrees

Is there a manual firmware update for the A900?

So I bought my A900 when they first came out. I was a bit disappointed when Samsung decided to release a new phone (A900m) to fix all the bugs in the A900 instead of providing a firmware update to bring the A900 up to date. Although I have read about numerous issues with the A900 that were fixed in the A900m, my two biggest complaints with the A900 are:

- Bluetooth compatibility (this wasn't a big issue until I just bought a new 2008 Land Rover LR2 and the car's bluetooth system does not detect my A900 at ALL! It detects my fiance's RAZR and I also went to a Sprint store and tested the new UpStage and they work just fine with my LR2)

- Lack of ability to add words to the T9 dictionary. This is a big pain in the @$$ since I text a l...

Pearl

Is there any truth to the rumor that Sprint will receive the Pearl starting 5/7/07? I'm looking to buy a blackberry but really want one with a camera. Any insight?

F.A.S.T.

...isn't so fast after all.

Is there ANY way to pull up a tentative BAN for a customer that is trying to open up service with Sprint after having a previous account?

We keep going in circles after calling into the credit department and have a manual review performed. Now when we attempt to pull up the revised account with the app # it tells us to call into the credit department again.

Direct Ship

How are we as sales reps going to be held accountable for hitting our goals when we cant even order simple accesories such as an extended 3100 battery for our customers? There are so many of these phones out there and we cant even sell them a battery. I was just using that as an example as i know there are many more accesories we just cant get for our customers.

Has anyone else...

experienced this?

Had a customer come in wanting to buy a new iDen phone without a contract, I informed him that we do not sell the phones outright unless they are also activated on your account before it leaves the store. He didn't like our current selection of phones nor wanted to pay full price.

the customer then swings over to the boost phone display and asks to see the i855. Knowing what he was attempting to do but horribly trying to be discrete about it i said "sir those phones will not work with your nextel account"
his response was "I know, I asked to see it"
so seeing as how I work in a kiosk i was outside and one of my co workers were inside standing next to the boost display so I let her proceed with the sale.

Right a...

Today, I cried...

As of 4pm Eastern Standard Time, I ceased to be a Sprint Nextel employee and became an indirect representative for Enhanced Wireless. I will miss my $0 rate plan, but can't say I will miss the CAR forms.

Indirect Reps

Easy question for you that work indirect channels. What does the indirect dealer plan consist of? I'm wondering what the cost and included features are because it won't be too much longer before my EDRP is jacked up and converted over.

¿How Many Times Has A Sprint Rep. Lied To You?

I can't count on both hands and both feet how many times a week someone comes into my store and tells me something they heard from a friend or Sprint Rep. about their Sprint phone that is completely false. This lady came in and she said she was told that if she had the Power Vision Pack on her phone she would get better signal strength. HA HA HA! I educated the woman that this was not true. Where in the world do they come up with this stuff. BLUETOOTH ringers, a subject I would not like to address but alas it needs to be done. I had a lady tell me the only reason she bought her phone is because she heard you can steal ringers and music through BT.I said, "so you did not buy the phone to make calls?" She said she only bought it to steal ringe...

Not a great quarter 1 2007, but recovery is happening.

Of course Sprint has not had had a good quarter for a number of them but times seem to be turning around. They are reporting solid gross ads, but since their churn is, 2.3% it is not showing on the net ads side. In addition, the CDMA unit continues to do well, while the IDEN unit continues to decline, however, shows of improvement is there. The power source, or those dual mode devices, is now at 400k users. Going into this year, there are going to be improvements in the IDEN side while the CDMA unit continues to shine. Data cards reach close to 1 million units. ARPU continues to decline to $59.30 but still one of the highest in the industry. Growth at the IDEN unit continue to see declines with both data arpu and arpu as well as adds, whil...
