Dont kill the messenger

Summary: If you’re keeping score, this is what we call a double-double. For the second straight year, Sprint customer‘s satisfaction with their Sprint wireless service rose by double digits – further proof that customers like what they see in the company’s turnaround efforts.

What you need to know:

In May 2009, Sprint’s satisfaction score in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) increased by 12.5 percent from 2008 – the largest improvement in customer satisfaction of any company included in the index, both inside and outside the wireless industry.
This year, by making the largest improvement in the wireless category (we made an 11 percent improvement from 2009), we have now jumped ahead of A...

CLUELESS: Is At&t legally blonde?

😉 Seriously, with all the other carriers out there capitalizing on the demand for non contracted cellphone service, At&t seems to be too busy lying about their coverage and promoting the Iphone to worry about that! When will At&t learn that NOBODY wants a pay as you go plan with refill cards!? Sure, some people may like that sort of plan, but the majority of people don't like the idea of loading minutes on a pre paid card! At&t needs to wake up, smell the coffee, and get a clue! It seems like they don't like the pre paid idea at all, so they make it extremely hard for customers. Recently they announced the unlimited talk & texting plan for $60 a month, but you have to jump through so many hoops to get the plan, by the time you figu...

Plan Advice

Hey i am planning on going to AT&T when my contract is up. The only thing is i may get the unlimited talk, text and data plan with them. 70+30=100. But i was only gonna get the unl talk so i didn't have to worry about going over mins, but lately i haven't been using up all my current mins with Verizon.

So 2 questions, 1) does 100 a month sound high for the 3 services? and 2) Is the unlimited talk plan worth it even for people who only use their phone alot once in a while? Like is it worth it for people who do not use all of their plan minutes??

Suggestion for a phone with a full size keyboard and wi-fi to use on GoPhone plan

I'm a huge Sprint fan and recently moved to an area not covered by Sprint. I haven't dropped my Sprint line because it'll only save me $10/month and I plan to move to a Sprint coverage area once my lease is up (long story, basically I was transferred for work and had 1 day to look for a place).

I bought a cheap GoPhone just to see if this is something I'll be able to use and so far, it's working fine. Now I want something that's fun.

It doesn't really matter how old the phone is, just as long as I can find one on eBay or Craig's List in good condition and inexpensive.

I would like a full size keyboard (preferably candy bar style, real or touch screen is fine). I would also like it to have Wi-Fi, mainly to download apps or sync ...

AT&T Centennial Wireless Merger questions

I live in central Louisiana, and the carrier with the best overall voice coverage in this area is Centennial Wireless. Late last year AT&T was cleared to buyout Centennial. There were, due to competition some markets that would have to go to someone else (verizion?). I cannot find out what markets were excluded. Some surrounding markets havealready switched over. If my market goes to AT&T, I will as well. If it doesnt, I will not due to sketchy AT&T coverage here. I have asked reps in both companies stores and gotten conflicting answers. So anyone with any info please tell me. Oh , the market in question is Alexandria, La. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Compatability of Micro Sim.

I know the new iPhone is suppose to have the new Micro-Sim. My question is if there will be some sort of adapter for phones with slots for regular sim cards. I have to switch my sim card between my smartphone, and motorola tundra and I really can't lose that capability just to get a new iphone. Anybody know anything about this yet? I am aware that its not out yet, and yes I am aware you can cut a normal sim card to work in a micro sim slot.....

replacing a phone

My wife and I recently purchased Samsung Mythics and we are not happy with our phones.

We are in the market for a QWERTY keyboards phones that are not "smartphones"

We understand that we will have to pay full price for the phones and we are fine with that.

Do you have any recommendations for what we are looking for?

Where to purchase?

Will we have to get a new contract?

Please no touchscreen keyboards.

Thanks

Not so good news for AT&T

Wireless telecom provider Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has been trouncing AT&T (NYSE: T) for months in surveys of customer satisfaction and loyalty. But a recent survey by ChangeWave Research shows dropped calls are a growing problem for AT&T. Even Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) and T-Mobile — a subsidiary of Deutsche Telecom (NYSE: DT) — could see gains as customers think of leaving AT&T over the network troubles.
Specifically, a March survey of 4,040 smartphone customers was conducted by ChangeWave Research, InvestorPlace.com’s consumer polling and research division. In it, Verizon customers reported only 1.5% of their calls being dropped over the past three months, the lowest in the smartphone industry. This is also the lowest percentage...

AT&T & GREED: Another way to may you pay!

AT&T has begun offering home 3G base stations that look like Wi-Fi routers, but send and receive 3G radio signals instead. These microcells, as AT&T calls them, connect to the Internet and offer wireless coverage of up to 40 feet in any direction. They work with any 3G AT&T phone, but not with Apple’s older non-3G model of iPhone. 🙄

The catch is that you will have to pay AT&T for the boost. There are two payment plans: If you buy the microcell for $150, AT&T will charge your voice calls made using the device against the minutes on your monthly wireless plan. Or you can sign up for unlimited calling for a $20 a month fee, and get the microcell free. 😲

Dead Zone Doldrums Test Skills of iPhone Customers

By PAUL BOUTIN

Owners of iPhones know that their love for Steve Jobs’s touch-screen marvel comes at a price. The iPhone’s cellular coverage, provided exclusively by AT&T Wireless, is notoriously spotty. In some parts of New York and San Francisco, it’s impossible to connect.

If you go for a dim sum lunch at Yank Sing restaurant on the edge of the financial district in San Francisco, you are likely to miss calls from the office. Some owners can’t use their iPhones in their own homes. Even...

changes you would make

So this is just kind of a general thread...

What changes would you make to at&t's phones to better the user experience.

I would #1 get rid of prompts from java app's on non-smart phones for data usage....to be prompted every 2 seconds from opera mini or google maps when you want to use it telling it that its ok to use internet is borderline madness.

#2 get rid of media net links that incur un intended data charges. This is nothing less than a scam. I'm sure the unintended clicks to media net more than pay for upper management salary on a yearly basis, but it is just so unfair to the consumer.

#3 make it more difficult to subscribe to a 3rd party subscription. Once again, this just seems to be greed. 90% of people have no memory ...

My last bill generated, ATT didn't rob me!

I only owe $3.67!!! Not bad @ all!!! I tried hard to not look @ the deformed Backflip while I was in the store. Just being in there made me mad thinking about how much ATT !!FKD!! up Android. It's been a whole month since that deformed Backflip came out and there still hasn't been any new neutered Android handsets from ATT.
