Celltop / Replacement Of Phone / v3a Monster File

Hello,

I recently purchased a Motorola RAZR v3a and today all of a sudden the Celltop application started to act up. It won't save my widget placement, it won't connect to any thing that requires the network, and it always starts up with the "Celltop Setup", even though it's not my first time to start the application.

Any advice on what to do is appreciated.

Thanks,

Drew Russell

UPDATE:

Well, I have tried everything. I've Master Cleared, Master Reset, taken the battery out for 10 minutes, tried the Motorola Software Update, and still have had no luck.

Also, while I was text messaging last night, the phone froze and when I pulled the battery and restarted it, all of my contacts were gone (although my media was stil...

Any time plan changes-Not quite.

FYI
If you have a Smartphone plan with Alltel you are not allowed to change to regular individual account. You have to stay with the Smartphone plan for the duration of your 2 years.

Microsoft....

I heard, what is probably just a rumor, that even though Alltel was just bought that Microsoft is looking at buying them because he wants to make a move into the wireless business. I know Microsoft recently acquired Danger Inc and was curious if this had any truth.

Thanks!

not offering pre-paid products in my area eh?

Well Alltel, im getting p!ssed off over here.

Whenever I try to order a cell from y'all, you tell that no products from alltel are offered in my area due to not having a tower in PA or w/e.

Im fine with that, but you people are seriously teasing me, For some odd reason you have Pre-Paid Alltel U cards for retail in my neighborhood wal-mart and most gas stations.

If not offering service in my area why do you sell pre-paid cards in my area.

Along with your commercials. You people make no sense.

Alltel Going Unlimited?

There is a story on Engadget today indicating that tomorrow Alltel may launch its own unlimited plan but still citing that my circle is the better of the two.

Did Alltel win anything at the 700 Mhz auction?

Forgive me folks, but my time is not my own these days. I left cellular sales for a much better deal in another sales area, and have admittedly been "out of the loop". In 50 words or less, would someone out there bring me up to speed? I'm still seeing LOTS of Verizon advertising here in Charlottesville on television, certainly to familiarize this market with who they are once C-ville is able to have Verizon cell service with a local number (2009? 2010?).

Any information would be appreciated.

Alltel Hue cell phone

I purchased a Samsung cell phone the day before yesterday from Alltel. It was a Samsung Sch-r500 - Alltel Hue.

I was unable to download a ringtone to this new phone that I had been able to download to the previous cell phone I had.

Does anyone have any ideas that may help me? Thanks!

Sandy

Motorazr2 v9m

When will Alltel lower the price on the v9m. Other services have a lower price then alltel. I think there (alltel) phone prices are to high and then they play with your money for 10 to 12 weeks whine you are waiting on the rebate!

Messaging services...

I am wondering a couple things about the messaging services on a phone like Yahoo and AOL for example.

If I log in to yahoo on my phone and then hit the end key instead of signing out of yahoo, does it continue to use my minutes? Or does it only use my minutes just when I am on the yahoo screen or messaging someone?

Also, if I hit the end key so that the yahoo screen is gone and it is just my regular screen, can someone still send me a message and if so, does something come up to tell me I have a message?

Thanks

Alltel vs. Sprint

Ok, I just posted a few days ago because I'm thinking of switching to Alltel, but Sprint's new plans have me reconsidering switching back to them. I had them for a while (with no problems at all) and went to Metro PCS to save money (I was always going over my minutes).

My question to all you brainiacs: who offers better coverage as far as voice calls go? I hear Alltel's coverage is better in rural areas, but I'm in a major metro city. I also hear Alltel's coverage is better indoors. Please help me decide!

Alltel - the only hope for UMB?

With AT&T and Verizon going LTE, and Sprint going WiMAX, I was wondering, could Alltel be the only hope for the natural evolution path for CDMA, UMB?

I don't think that T-Mobile will choose UMB, as they are a German-owned GSM provider, and since a majority of GSM providers will chose LTE, I don't think T-Mobile will be any different.

Alltel is the only major CDMA carrier in the U.S. who still hasn't announced what they will use for 4G. Because Alltel uses CDMA technology, theoretically, they should choose UMB. However, Alltel heavily relies on roaming agreements with Verizon, who has chosen LTE over UMB. If Alltel wants to continue this agreement, then Alltel will probably also choose LTE.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Alltel users... I need help!

I currently live in Metro Atlanta on the southside where Alltel offers coverage. I work, and usually play, in the city (and on the northside) where they don't offer coverage. Will I get hit with roaming charges if I switch to Alltel?
