I heard that you can use the 6800 and download the apple software? is there any truth to this? and if so, what excactly can you get on there for apps to make it comparable? 👿

I have had Alltel for over 3years and work for AT&T (Cingular) for 4 and 1/2 years. Both companies have there good and bad. Because Alltel is CDMA technology it is sooo easy to be cloned or have someone tap into your phone to get your text messages. With CDMA and TDMA phones all you have to do is manually program a old phone with someone elses # and get all there incoming text messages. Good thing about AT&T is you have to have someone's SIM card to do that. 😕 Unortunetly found this out the hard way! anyone know a way around that or how to protect your phone?

I plan 2 figure out a way to get ringtones, pics, etc. for the Samsung U520 but ofcourse it's a bit too new for a data cable to be labeled especially for it. What other data cable model is compatible?

ok, i know that whenever you use a network other then alltel on a alltel headset you have to do that double dialing thing. is there anything you can do to the phone or anything else to get it so that whenever you use a different network on an alltel headset you don't have to double dial?

Whenever I call someone with an Alltel phone, I usally hear this "knocking" type noise before it even starts ringing. does anyone know what that is and why it does that? Thanks...

My wife received a text message last night around 1:00am. When I asked who was texting her at this time, she said it was a friend of hers. She showed me the text message, which was stamped 6:45pm earlier tha afternoon. She said that the text message had just arrived on her phone, which is a Motorola V3 Razr. When you pull up the message in the Inbox, it shows the message, the person its from, the date, and the time. Now heres my question: Does the time on the phone indicate when the text message was SENT from the other person, or...does it indicate when the text ARRIVED on my wife's phone. Please let me know. I have the HTC 6800 and when I'm in my home area which is in the central time zone the time is ahead 1 hour. I have synced the phone to the network and it syncs to that time. When I go to college (also in the central time zone) my phone is on Sprint's network and the time shown is the correct time.

I called Alltel customer support and they said that this is a known issue with Windows Mobile devices and at this time there isn't a fix.

Does anyone know a fix so I don't have to manually adjust the time? Is anyone else having this problem, or are they just blowing me off?

I have already restarted my phone,*228 the PRL, gone through settings to sync the time to the network.

I am currently with Cellular One, which is now part of AT&T. Your companies Consumer Reports scores were most impressive.
The nearest store to me is an hour away in Minong, Wisconsin. Any chances your company will venture further north to the Twin Ports market (Duluth, Minnesota / Superior, Wisconsin)? Their are plenty of available storefronts in Superior, and I think adding a new carrier up here would be great, right now we have AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and Unicel.

I am trying to find a way to get a Blackberry pearl without having to pay 479.00$. My account doesn't come up for over a year and I don't feel like waiting. Any suggestions would be great.

My contract is available for upgrade in march. Anyone know what phones will be available 1st quarter of next year? The Rokr is what I have my eyes on now but I'm kind of hoping Alltel will come out with something that has a better interface by then.
Any tips or leads would be greatly appreciated
