The Celltop thing looks REALLY COOL, and I've checked on the alltel site that if I bring an older phone into a store I can get Celltop "programmed" onto it.

I'm guessing that means an older alltel phone. My question is what if I was given an older Verizon or Sprint phone from a friend and wanted it on that phone. Could I have it done? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if the BB7250 gets EvDo? Have been told that the VZW version does, can't seem to get Alltel's to see it.

Is there, by any change, that the MOTOROKR Z6m going to go down? I've been thinking of getting a new phone for christmas. I have a Kyocera Strobe and I want the MOTOROKR, but I'm not sure if $329.00 retail price is the right thing. Any help??

For anyone who has owns the BB 8830 or knows about it, what are your thoughts of the phone? Does it have a good battery life? Can you recieve calls while on the web? Can you text while on a call? Any helpful info would be greatly appreciative. Thank You

I go to college at Marquette in downtown Milwaukee,WI, I know there has been this new buyout and all but does anyone know when Alltel is to get any roaming agreements for EVDO in the Milwaukee area. What I find interesting is my friends Treo is on EVDO in Milwaukee but not my KRZR. Back in my home network I did the *288 to update my phone so I know it has the latest roaming agreements.

I was at my local Alltel store today and I asked the sales rep if they will be getting any new phones before Christmas time...she said yes and something like 8 new phones. That seems a little extreme. Any truth to the rumor? If so, any ideas what phones are coming out? Thanks guys.

Does anyone know the release date for the pearl 2 (8130) for Alltel? I saw the article by BoyGenius but it didn't give a release date. My contract expires on December 12th and I'm hold out for it. When does Alltel usually get their Christmas phones? Thanks for the help.

I just noticed that the razr2 has dropped to $199. This makes the phone much more competitive with the ROKR z6m. I personally prefer a flip phone, and have been waiting for the v9m to drop in price. What do you think of the v9m, and is it worth it now that it is only $70 more than the ROKR??

Also, do you think that the price will drop anymore before x-mas? It has dropped 100 in the past 2 weeks or so...

When is the 700mhz auction everyone was talking about that is supposed to make alltel a national player? There was a lot of talk about it but I havent heard anything new.

i currently work for cell one and we, as you know, have been bought out by at&t. (gag). i will not give them a single red cent. wanting to go with alltel as they have the 6800 ppc and i really would like to have this. how is the call quality on the 6800 i know it is a windows based phone forhte pc part and have seen it run but have not used it for call quality. any info would be very much appriciated as will be taking 7 lines with me out of cell one/at&t whatever they go by now and having 2 of them with smart phones.

Fun fact. If you get the Rokr you can plug a tape adapter (just like you would with a portable cd player) into your car and play all of your songs through that. Also any sport store will have an arm band that can be used to hold the phone on your arm when jogging or whatnot. I sell the phone as our version of an ipod/phone.

I am going to get a smart phone from alltel. I was wondering which would be the best. The Q, 6800, or the 755p. I know that I like how the 755p stores it's messages as a conversation, but I don't know if the other two do. So what I am wondering is which one does each of you like and why.

Just got my Alltel V9m i try and bring up my camera and it says "BUSY, TRY AGAIN LATER" I try and bring up the camcorder and it says "SYSTEM ERROR" any ideas on whats up?? I guess I'm lucky I got the phone working at all. I bought it off ebay from a seller with 100% feedback all he sells is Alltel phones. Needless to say it came in the mail today took it to the store to get it turned on and there was a problem with the HEX number finally got that figured out then the phone wouldn't power on and I was send home like a child for not buying the phone from Alltel directly.
