LG 8000 dummy has arrived!

Friday, one location here in GA., has gotton the dummy for the LG 8000. One other location has received the dummy for the samsung A890. I just wanted to state this. And also was told that Feb.1st is the "planned" release date for these phones. 😁

Never had one

I have never owned an LG made phone, so I would like to ask what exactly is so great about this phone. I know all the specs and I know all the features. This phone had more forum pages than any other new phone, way more than the 8940. There hasn't been a post on that forum in a week. So why is this phone so popular, I see other phones that look better and can do more. I am not hatin on the phone just want a honest answer on why this phone is supposedly gonna be so great. Why is this phone better than say an Audiovox 8940, or a SE S710a. Which I might add both have memory card, a requirement that should not be ignored when it comes to a megapixel phone which some people will buy just for the high quality camera. So phone to phone why ...

As Always..

Just like any other phone we have had.. if you wait 2 - 6 months the price will drop because the next phone will be on the way (via 8100), my 2 year is up in June so that will be when i buy the new 8000, i dont care about the 8100's dead bluetooth technology.. but i sense that by june the 800 will be around $100 bucks after rebate or lower..

Also the 1.3megapixel camera just like any camera on the market will be obsolete or already is.. whats next? The technology is there, they are just juicing the coinage out of everyone.. technology never ends, its a beautiful thing, thats why i love it so much 🙂

The most important development this year in U.S. wireless communications wasn't the headline-grabbing mergers of various wireless carriers. It was the quiet, gradual rollout by Verizon Wireless of a technology called EV-DO, which for the first time is providing broadband-speed Internet access over the air from anywhere in the cities where it has been deployed.

This new Verizon network, which the company calls "BroadbandAccess," promises users in 18 cities so far that they can get on the Internet at typical speeds of between 300 and 500 kilobits a second. That's the equivalent of w...

downloading ringers to the phone

I have a question for you lucky testers of the 8000. Are you still able to send ringers to your phone via email? If so then do they still have to have an .mid extension or can they have an .mp3 extension since the phone has an mp3 player. I have the 7K and can't wait for this phone.
