FYI, about the new LG LX160...

"Some LG LX160 devices may experience inoperable earpiece, inoperable vibrate
feature and/or a white or blank LCD. This issue is caused by a faulty PCB cable. LG is in the process of replacing inventory with the faulty PCB cable.

If customer has an LX160 with the above issue: Please exchange the device."

that was copied and pasted directly from inteernal material, so if that happens to you, take it back.

"Direct Connect" name has returned

The "walkie-talkie" name has finally disappeared from the Sprint.com site. Did they finally get the message that nobody liked it, or is it because Ready Link is now officially dead?

Hate having to post this twice. ☹️ One forum, please!

SERO family plan work around?

I know technically you can't have a SERO family plan, but could I get around this by ordering the $30 SERO plan, and then calling CS and adding 2 $10 lines to my plan? Would this affect the SERO plan? Would they tell me no? Thanks!

Looking for a good phone for email

So I'd like to stay with Sprint but personally I think CDMA phones are for the most part garbage. I don't really want to go over to ATT so I am desperately seeking a phone that will make me stay.

Here's what I want....

Good signal and battery
Good email functionality
SD card
MP3 ready
Bar or slider (slim for pants pocket)

I don't need....

Super Texting ability
Camera
Sprint TV

I don't think that's too much to ask. I've been looking at the PDAS but I really don't want to pay more than $150. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Treo 755p, PAM with a Mac, $5 add-a-line PAM, and blackberry help?

i have a cust that needs to know if the Treo will work for PAM on her mac. I've got a couple days, and the treo forum is stupid-slow.

ALSO they are trying to tell me that they have had a $5 add-on for their second phone to have PAM when the first has the $40 package in the past and want to keep that. i've never heard of it before. maybe it's a retention thing?

and lastly, is there a resource for somewhat 'simple' people who want to learn more about their blackberry's? (specifically the 8830) like a "Blackberry's for Dummies" book/website(preferrable)?

thanks in advance guys!

LG stepped up its phone game, why won't Sanyo?

Don't get me wrong, I love my M1.. it does everything I need it to do, but speaking from Sprint's view, they are severly lacking in 'WOW' phones.

I remember LG being Sprint's favorite playmate a couple of years ago, and their phones weren't the best (see LG 325) but were doable. But since LG and Verizon have become pals, they put out high-end phones like the Chocolate, and most recently the Voyager and Venus (albeit with quirky interfaces, but still). I'm unsure about future Sanyo models, but the Katana II isn't screaming out sexy in my eyes.

Sprint Phones

I'm looking for a phone that has great internet usability, good texting, and great phone in general terms. I can't get a blackberry. IN the history of sprint, what is an all around great phone to use?

I was thinking about getting the Q, but I hated playing around with it the other day. Treo's are too flipping big.

I need cheap, like older models are fine. I can get a used Q on ebay for about 150. WHat should i look at?

Airave Coming!!

If you haven't heard yet, Airave is coming to Sprint. It works basically like VoIP and connects directly to your high speed internet connection. It only uses 40 bits of internet speed so your voice quality should not be as bad as a VoIP normally is. What you do is go into a Sprint store and purchase the Airave machine. Then you come home, hook it up to your internet and start making calls. There is a monthly charge associated with the machine which is $15 for a single line or $30 for a family line. All of the phone numbers have to be associated with one account number. It covers upto 5000 sq ft in your house and boosts your voice service. With the monthly charge, you can unlimited phone calls while you are within the service area. I...

Not To Thrilled.....What's What.....??

I just got sprint, not that thrilled with it.... I'm thinking of returning it just because it's not quite what I expected.

My question:

I had to pay a $250.00 Deposit + 249.99 FOr The Phone.

I paid in cash.

I know the deposit will most likley come back by a check because they have to take the fees out etc... But can I get the money back for the phone from the store??????? Or do I have to wait for that too.....

Its not like I expected for sprint to do loopty loops and be my own personal bodygaurd, but I just don't see myself keeping it...

Thanks For The Help In Advance!

Technical Issues for a Treo 755...Help!

I have a treo 755 that I am trying to sync to a laptop (windows xp). Whenever it tries to sync, the laptop says it needs a password for the handheld, and the handheld says identifying user. I have tried entering the correct password for the pda as well as the last four of the phone number, and this has not worked. Also disabled the password on the pda, yet the cpu still wants it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
