ringer id
I'm reading the user manual...pg 49 states that you can assign ringtones to individual #'s
pricing
Why is the price so low on this phone?
It is even cheaper than the 8910 and the 9900 is supposed to be better than the 8910. The 9900 is $49.99 and the 8910 is $99.99 with a 2 year contract.

MP3 Ringtones...
Does anyone know if you can have mp3 ring tones on this phone?
More specifically, on the LG 7000, you can rename small mp3 files to .mid and then send them to you phone and use that as a ring tone. Will that be possible on this phone?
Thanks,
Dustin
Can you assign ringtones to numbers in phonebook??
Does anyone know the answer to this. The specs say no, but I can't believe this one does not have that feature and the Sprint version does, as well as many new phones. Perhaps the gentleman who just got the phone can check it out. Thanks
Call log capacity
Is there a phone in the new crop of cam phones that has a call log that will hold more than the 20-30 that my 8900 does now? Is the only answer a smart phone?

It's the 1st
of October.
All the stores in my area are going to start
selling it on that date. No idea why it was
pushed back 1 day.

HELP WITH DECISION ASAP 9900vs710vs7000
hey guys and gals. if you read this thread, please respond! i need big help making a decision. almost 2 weeks ago, i got the motorola v710. while i like alot of features on the phone, such as a higher resolution camera and the speakerphone, i hate the keybad, volume, and the glossy-ness of it which always makes it look smudgy.
i must return the 710 by friday if i want to get another phone. the only other thing verizon has that interests me is the LG 7000.
now, the rep told me about the 9900, and said it came out 9/30/04. if i wanted that phone, i would have to return my 710 friday, then be w/o a phone for 2weeks (my old phone is broken), and use my new-every-two for the audiovox when it comes out 9/30/04. since i already tried...

Audiovox 9900
This is going to be Verizon Wireless First Audiovox Video phone 😁 . They have at least two camera phones put, and depending on your area, they will be releasing another camera phone before this one. I am really happy that they have made a deal with audiovox for a video phone. I'm not too impress with Motorola at all 😡 . Blue-tooth, or no blue-tooth 🙄 . Until the charging port is changed, they will FOREVER have problems with their phones. Audiovox has pleased me before with all the models I've purchased which include pcx-1000, pcx-3500, cdma-9000, cdma-9100, cdma-9500. I like to change my phones, as you can see. I think this is where your best value would be for a video/camera phone.

VM4050
Went to check out the VM4050 at Sprint this past weekend, since it's pretty much the 9900. It seems like a real solid phone. I don't find a problem with the buttons on the phone like people have complained about on the dummy 9900's, but they may not be the same. It's about as deep as my Moto 270c, but definitely wider. Got to play with it a little, and overall some great features. The display is outstanding like others have mentioned, so I will definitely give the 9900 a try. Just hope it measures up to the reliability of my 270c with its spectacular speakerphone and low number of dropped calls. I'm not expecting the same caliber of speakerphone as the Moto, but someplace in the ballpark would be fine. Unfortunately, it seems like th...

Infocenter
Audiovox 9900 details are now available on InfoCenter. I work at Radioshack and saw the details tonight at work. below are some quotes from the infocenter page. If anyone has any specific questions let me know, I'll try to find out what I can for you. Info center doesn't post the user manual, but it does have button-by-button walkthroughs for some of the more frequently used tasks on the phone.

Why is phone different then in Pix?
My bro works for verizon, and he brought home the dummy. Its wierd because the color around the external screen is really turquoise and not blk(judgin by the pic on this site) and the housing in the front..is not all silver..but rather a mix of silver and grey..why is it different? The change of colors make the phone look so much more uglier than in pictures...can someone explain?? Also..are the video recording clips choppy like in the samsung a670? Or are they smooth like butter like in the v710?? Also..how long are the video clips?? Please get back to me. Thanks a lot! 😁
Blue or green backlit keys?
Can anyone tell me which this phone has? I cannot find anywhere in the documentation which it has and have only seen the dummy, not the live phone. Also a related question, I heard the keypad being compared to the old z800. Is this true, or are the keys okay?
Thanks!
