Does anyone know the megapixels and resolution of the camera on the 9900? And what is the difference between pixels and resolution?

9900 vs. 710

I hate to ask this question, but how does the phone compare to the 710 excluding the camera and bluetooth. I have the 9900 and it is a great phone for the price. The camera is ok, but in no way replaces my digi cam, so it's importance is irrelevant. The 9900 can't do vibrate/ring, which is kind of an annoyance. The speaker phone is ok. Charger port is awesome compared to moto. With NE2, is the 710 worth the extra $100 with it's advanced voice recognition and better speaker phone..etc.?

Just wondering...thanks in advance.

Upgrade from 9155

Hey all,

I've been a 9155 user since its come out. The phone is a great phone, unfortunately the battery life on it isn't so hot and the bulkiness of it when its inside a case makes me lose it a lot (it falls out of my pocket).

However, I've been hesitant to upgrade (NE2 eligible for a year now!) because I never found a phone I really liked.

I dont need a camera and I dont need ringtones, etc. etc. What I do need is wireless web, long battery life, and a reliable phone. Also maybe the ability to turn those annoying sounds off that play when you turn the new phones on and off... I just feel that new phones are moving away from cell phones and becoming portable entertainment devices, which I don't like.

Anyway, I have a few ques...

Decision

I've been reading all of the comments on this forum and I am almost convinced to run out and purchase this phone in the AM. While I am aware that this Audiovox is manufactured by Toshiba, I am a bit weary of Audiovox phones, especially after my short-lived encounter with the 8900. I have a Kyocera-2235 and it was a great phone. I know it's time to let it go, but it's extremely sturdy. I've also heard rumors (again) that Verizon may carry the Motorola V-810. Can anyone tell me how the CDM-9900 would stack up against the V-810?

Also, was anyone aware that the NE2 is only good for six months? My contract expired in June, yet I was elgible for a new phone two months prior to the expiration date. Now I am being told that I must utilize m...

Audiovox over the long haul?

I'm seriously considering the 9900. However, since Audiovox made their recent announcement that they are getting out of the cellular market, I'm concerned about the long haul. Sure, Verizon will provide technical support, but what do you think about the future of firmware/software updates? Anyone have REAL info as to whether Verizon deals directly with Toshiba (the actual manufacturer) or only with Audiovox?

Its Out in NYC!!!

Hello, i just came back from the Verizon wireless store in College Point Queens. I saw it for sale. This is the number if anyone in NYC wants it...

136-03 20th Ave.
College Point, NY 11356
(71😎 961-2090

This is the REAL info. ITS NOT $50. IT's $289.99 with a 2year contract minus the $70 mail in rebate comes out to $219.99. The screen is so beautiful and gorgeous. It looks like a plasma screen, the camera is also beautiful, a hell of a lot better than the v710, along with video camera. I will give my v710 another 2 days before switching to this phone. Its a very VERY nice phone.

In Texas it's...

...$99.99 w/car charger, headset and leather case or $49.99 w/out them. But they were only able to confirm through the 11th that it will be that price.

If my billing date is on the 14th is there anyway I can get this early w/out incuring major fees? I have no problem staying with VZW and extending the contract but I'd rather not have any extra, unnecessary fees. Any comments would be appreciated.

WTF.If you have the NE2 $100 credit and you buy the phone instore, you still gotta pay the $50rebate!

Thats the dumbest thing i ever heard.. why is it free online but in store you gotta pay the rebate. so technically your not getting the 100 credit.. your getting the 50 rebate and they said any flip phone with rebate you gotta pay in the store. THAT IS STUPIDDDDDDDDDDDDD. how come i have read that people have gotten it free in store?????? Helppppppppp now

I just got one today.........

Great phone. The only thing I was disappointed with was the loudness of the speakerphone. It's fine in low noise surroundings, but in moderately noisy environments (such as in the car) it's not that great. Otherwise, it's a great phone. I've had a Audiovox CDM 9155 for the last 2 1/2 years and I've kept that because it was such a good phone. I'm thrilled to have moved into the modern age with this new phone!!!! 🤣

And the secaucus store is all stuck up saying.."Oh, they have the wrong price then."

Battery Life??

I am going to get the 9900 today in Arizona since I can't pass up this $50 deal. Can anyone tell me about the battery life? My current phone hardly lasts an hour. Also, how is the speakerphone quality?

Thanks 😎

Called my Local verizon store in secaucus,nj and they said they MIGHT get it mid-OCT.

can anybody else confirm that its only online for now? Also she said she dont know what the price is gonna be. There willl most likely be a rebate once the retail stores start selling them.
