Voice command mode for Prompts/Readout/Tones Only
When I scroll through the voice commands menu and I choose the Tones only and I voice dial a # after I am through with the call and I end the call I have to press the end key 3 times in order for the phone to end the call. When I set the voice command mode to Prompts I only press the end key once for the call to end. This only happnes when I use voice dial and I have the phone set to Tones Only. Does anyone else have this problem or maybe someone else can try this. and let me know Thanks

Hey Everyone
Hi all I just multi-frued my old 9800 (V) for the enw EnV phone. What is everyones thoughts who has upgraded from the V to the EnV concerning build quality, funtionality and overall usage? Do you like it? I'm going to Best Buy today to buy a micro SD card. Tech support at the Verizon I work at (I'm a greeter for some time there) said that I can just drag and drop the MP3 files from my old mim sd card to the newer card. Is this true? Hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Ijust want to know what everyone things of their EnV phones. Does it feel sturdy in your hand when your using the full keyboard and durable? THanks in advace for your help. I do however know most of this phone already these are just a couple of my questions.

Louder than the V
Ok so in my first thread I told you that I frued out my old V to the EnV. I've been testing it out so far, it's only been one night htough, but is it just me or does it seem like the ringer on the EnV is much louder than the V was? Does anyone here get ringtones by using Mobile 17? I can't believe that it finally works with the EnV because it didn't work at all with the V. Thanks for the help. I"m still learing to use the phone a little bit.
over in the "Review: LG enV" discussion:
Don't Agree With Most of This
I hate to say it, but I didn't agree with about half of this review. I've been using the EnV since early December, and I have absolutely loved it. It's the only LG phone I've ever kept for more than 3 days (I'm a Motorola/Nokia person), and this one does everything I want to do (that Verizon didn't limit).
One-handed texting with the phone shut is easy, as it should be. With the phone open, it's not that difficult either. The 3-second delay on the auto-focus portion of the camera can be disabled so you can take quick pix when you'd like, and using the camera when the phone's open is not too difficult at all, even for those trying to take pictures of themselves.
I bought the phone because I'm a heavy-texter, and this is the only thi...

Developer Tools (SDK) for VX-9900?
Anyone know of developer tools for VX-9900?
plastic case from DD plus other things
First the other things.
My phone gets used pretty much the exact same way day in and out. I need to charge it about every other night. A couple times I started off the day with two bars in the morning and the phone powered off sometime during the day and this is without having used it at all by the time I noticed.
The last time I charged it I got FIVE days useage both in calls and alarms before I got down to two bars. I thought that was pretty odd, but I'll take that anyday.
The second thing I find weird is, if you pause too long dialing a number, the keyboard will lock up. Seems like if the phone is in the process of being used that this shouldn't happen. I know I could extend or turn off the key lock feature, but I have an existing pr...

Selling the OEM VPA and Leather case/holster CHEAP!
I no longer own the 9900 and had purchased the Original OEM leather case model # MBAC0001232 and the OEM VPA model # SGCC0002911. The vpa is brand new and the leather case is used 1 week perfect condition. I decided to go with the Samsung U740 and have no need for the VPA and Case for the 9900. I will take any reasonable offers as I paid $20 for the case and $30 for the VPA. I can be emailed at robvideo1967@yahoo.com Thanks.

So how do I...
I apologize again for being new. I am sure I am asking questions that have been asked 1000 times before.
How can I watch movies on my phone? If someone could tell me exactly (step-by-step) how to do that, I would be a very happy woman.
Many thanks in advance!

PS...I tried to send a song to myself to download as a ringtone but my files were all too big. What is the limit...does anyone know? Thanks again!

Headset music volume?
I have noticed that, when listening to music over the headset, that the music is very loud, even on the quietest volume setting. Changing master volume and earpiece volume seems to have no effect. I think I have read somewhere that this is a known bug and that it should be fixed in a firmware (or software?) revision at some point. Does anyone know when/if that will happen, and how are we notified when there is a new update?

miel - review
That guy is garbage, a zero? Based on the review he has never owned the phone. Considering he says in yesterdays review that he can return it and try an 8600 but he reviewed any 8600 a month ago. Flawed. Liar. I would like to electronically punch him in the face.

Front display light goes dim, then off?
Ok, I thought I had it figured out. I didn't. My env's front and main display light goes dim after the set amount of time I set it for (5 seconds) then totally goes black as if on standby after about 5 seconds. Is this supposed to happen and can I set it? Please help me out.

Bluetooth headsets advice
I'm looking for some firsthand, or even secondhand at this point, info on a BT headset for the enV.
I tried the Plantronics 655 and 1- it doesn't fit (I can't wear earbuds and apparently not even with the smaller earbud that came with it), 2- the earclip i ended up using is VERY uncomfortable and 3- it's scratchy sounding sometimes. I was carrying it in the provided clip/holster and have since lost the earclip and one of the earbuds âšī¸ So it has that going against it, too. I don't like loose parts.
I posted this in accessories without a whole lot of response and was hoping to narrow down my choices with what works well for our phones.
Two I am interested in by looks, battery life, no earbud and some Amazon reviews is the Samsung wep...

Couple of questions.
I just have a couple of questions, please help me out.
(1) Is there a power save mode to have my front screen turn off after a certain amount of time so that my battery doesn't lose power?
(2) In what form do videos have to be in so that I can just drag and drop them onto my micro sd card using a card reader?
This forum is great by the way. I learned a lot so far and only have read the first six pages. Thanks for your time.

Anyone else prefer T9 over keyboard?
I know the kayboard is supposed to be a great feature with this phone, but i really prefer using the front keypad. that way, i can text with 1 hand and when you get used to T9, its really very quick. and i txt alot.
I think i would prefer this phone as non-flip with no keyboard, but same exact features.
anyone else?

Ringtone question
I am sure this has been answered before but I cannot locate that answer on here. I read that you can send yourself a pix message with the 30 sec .mp3 formatted tone you wanted and then save it as a ringtone. I tried that and it said the file was too big. It was 234kb. Is this too big????
Secondly, I also want to try the trick that was used on the Motorola 710 for storing ringtones. Where you would send a text (and in this case a PIX message) to a 555-5555 number so that it would come up not being able to send. Once that happend you would be able to go into your sent mail and open up the message that could not be sent and go to the file and go to save as ringtone and then I would have my ringtone. If this works on the enV it would b...
