LG enV VX-9900

Hi everyone,
regarding the extra button that I've heard of on the Orange enV, it looks like it's not a new button, but simply a reprogrammed email button based on this pic:

Does anyone know what new functions it will do exactly? Will it perform any functions that the current silver enV does not - are these new functions worth waiting for it?

Heyas, could I use the enV as a video player if I transfered my own videos with a SD card? If so what codecs and resolutions does the enV support and how's the video quality? If not does anyone have any suggestions on phones that I could use

Your review was hardly a revivew. Some parts, to be honest, were immaturely written. In the future, you should e-mail people if you have problems with what they say, and leave the review section for reviews. If I wanted criticism, I'd go to the lounge.

I got my enV on the day it was released in November. Until yesterday it was an awesome phone that never had a problem. I flipped it open last night and pressed the message button and it went to the verizon screen with the black background. It would stay like that for about 15 seconds, flash off and come back on. It's been doing this ever since. I took it to my local verizon store, and they wouldn't give me a new one, and told me to go thru my insurance to get a new one because I had dropped a few months back and there is a pretty bad scratch mark on the corner. The phone is obviously still under the 1 year warranty and this is definitely some sort of software type thing that has nothing to do with the fact it was dropped. I really don't wan...

I called Verizon to upgrade to the VX-9900 with my new every 2, but they said that the status is "coming soon". According to the phonescoop search, it should be available now.

Anyone know anything about why i cant get it through Verizon? Anyone know when I can get it through Verizon?

Hi i was wondering if this would be a good phone for me and my son becuse we have the unlimited texting to every thing you know and ne way just let me know 😁

i use mobile17 to make ringtones and then i use my card reader to put it on my phone. as a sound the file sounds perfect but after i send it to myself and open it the ringtone sounds distorted...as if it was made 5x louder but on lower volume it still sounds distorted. is there a problem with the phone or just the software

I have the MEK but lost the original data cable which worked.

I bought a cable off ebay and now I cant get it to recognize my phone. I have the original MEK cd - I tried both the drivers from cd included and drivers from MEK cd.

When i take and send pics on the top 2 resolutions they appear on pc so large that you have to center it by scrolling sides and top to bottom. Is there a way to correct that? Once they are in my documents and i pull them up are ok but when i send to other people i would like them to be full with out the scrolling,can anyone give me advise. Thanks. Bob

I contacted Verizon and received the following response concerning the compatibility of the V02 Software and the Music Essentials Kit. They say that I would have to buy a new Music Essentials Kit. What a racket.

I spoke with a Technical Support Representative who advised that Software Version 1 and Software Version 2 are not compatible with the same Music Essentials Software. If you upgrade to Software Version 2, you will need to purchase a new Music Essentials Kit.

Hey everyone,
When I get my enV, I'm planning on getting the 2GB memory card, a Jabra® JBT8010Z bluetooth headset, and the data cable. I was thinking of getting the Music Essentials kit, but mainly I would like to use bitpim to transfer files from the computer to the phone. Should I just get the Music Essentials Kit for $30? Or should I try to find just the cable elsewhere (is it available?)
Also, is there any other accessory that anyone could recommend for me to purchase right when I get the phone?

I have been following your reputation on LG forums and would like to get your opinion on which vzw phone you would suggest today?

I currently own vx8100 and thinking about getting something new. I don't want vx8300 because the front buttons can't read txt. Other than that it looks like a great phone replacement for 8100.

At the moment I am debating between vx8600 and vx9900. Which one would you recommend?

I spoke with a Verizon rep at one of the stores who owned an enV. He said most of the Motorola units didn't work well. He recommended a Jabra, LG, or Plantronics.

Do you agree? If not, what other brands and specifically what models. If you do think the Jabra, LG or Plantronics are the best, which models of these brands work the best?

Also, what has the experience been with the Jawbone bluetooth headset?

I just received my new enV 2 days ago. I took it to the Verizon store and had them transfer my contacts via a cable. But, I believe I asked them to give me the new upgrade also. How can I check on my phone to see if I have the most recent upgrade?

With some of the MP3 files i just transfered onto my phone through Limewire, they won't play. I've transfered soo many files i know how to do it and it's always worked but with a few of my files i'll transfer them onto the card, put the card into my phone, but they won't play and i know the phone doens't recognize them becuase when i load up VCast music, it doesn't say adding songs to music library. I'm confused. I know I'm doing everything right but it's frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I really like the ability to have music on my enV, but I find that the headphones that came with the Music Essentials Kit are very bad. They're overall too big and never stay in my ears. Does anyone have a reccomendation for some good headphones that will work on the enV? They can be the little bud ones or any other kind, I don't really care.

Any more news on a date for getting the env upgrade? I called local store on Thursday and that person didn't know anything about an upgrade..
